The Southwestern Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. donated $5,000 to Central High School’s Reading Club. During the donation event, students were excited to receive one of the books purchased by the donation and written by Little Rock Nine member Elizabeth Eckford. Ms. Eckford was on hand for the presentation. A special shoutout to the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho and Ms. Eckford for making this an extra special event at LRCH!

Southwestern Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. donated $5,000 to Central High School’s Reading Club
Central High will be offering concurrent credit next year in the following courses: AP English Language, AP US History, AP Pre-Calculus, and AP Spanish Language & AP Spanish Literature.  These courses will be offered concurrently in partnership with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  Concurrent enrollment allows for a student to earn guaranteed college credit provided the student is admissible to the University of Arkansas-Little Rock and will be enrolling in the aforementioned courses next school year.  Please see Mr. Williams in the guidance office for an application.  Interested students or parents can contact Mr. Williams in the guidance office at 501-447-1608 or by email at kim.williams@lrsd.org if you have any questions.
